Planning & Personalization
-
It starts with deep listening. We send you a detailed questionnaire about your relationship—how you met, what you love about each other, your values, even your sense of humor. Then we have a longer conversation where we ask follow-up questions and dig into the stories that matter most. From there, we write a ceremony that uses your actual words and stories. You review every draft and shape the final version with us. By the end, it's genuinely yours.
-
Absolutely. We've incorporated handfasting, ring warming, wine ceremonies, sand ceremonies, unity candles, the breaking of glass, and many cultural traditions. If there's something meaningful to you or your families, we can find a way to weave it in naturally. We'll also help you adapt traditions to feel authentic rather than performative.
-
Yes. Most couples we work with are non-religious or interfaith, and their ceremonies are deeply meaningful. The goal isn't to invoke a higher power—it's to honor your relationship and the commitment you're making. We focus on your story, your values, and the promises you want to make to each other. That's more than enough to create a ceremony that moves people.
Legal & Logistics
-
Yes. Our officiants are legally ordained and registered to perform marriages in Florida. We handle all the paperwork and ensure everything is filed correctly after your ceremony.
-
In Florida, you'll obtain your marriage license from any county clerk's office before the wedding. The license is valid for 60 days. After the ceremony, we sign it and submit it to the county. Florida has no waiting period for residents or non-residents, and no blood test is required. We'll walk you through the whole process—it's simpler than it sounds.
-
We're flexible and prepared for last-minute changes. If your outdoor ceremony moves indoors (or vice versa), we'll adapt to the new setting. We recommend having a backup plan with your venue, and we'll coordinate with your planner or venue contact to make sure we're all on the same page. Rain won't ruin your ceremony—it just makes it memorable.
Rehearsal & Day-Of
-
It depends on the size and complexity of your ceremony. For weddings with a wedding party, multiple readings, or family involvement, a rehearsal is helpful—it reduces day-of stress and ensures everyone knows where to stand and when to move. For elopements or micro-weddings, it's usually not necessary. Rehearsal coordination is an optional add-on if you'd like us there.
-
We're happy to coordinate with your planner, venue coordinator, and other vendors. Before the wedding, we'll connect with your planner (if you have one) to confirm the timeline and ceremony flow. On the day of, we arrive early, check in with the relevant people, and make sure we're aligned on cues—when the processional starts, when we begin, etc. We've worked with planners across Southeast Florida and understand how to fit into a larger team.
-
Yes, we offer sound system rentals as an add-on. A basic single-speaker PA system is $100, and a deluxe two-speaker system is $200. For outdoor ceremonies or groups over 40-50 people, amplification is usually necessary. If you have your own DJ or sound vendor, we're happy to coordinate with them instead.
Pricing & Booking
-
We offer three ceremony packages: Basic ($399, virtual consultations), Standard ($599, one in-person consultation), and Deluxe ($799, two in-person consultations). Add-ons like rehearsal coordination ($250) and sound systems ($100-$200) are available. Ceremonies outside our typical service area—from the Florida Keys to Jupiter/Martin County—may incur additional travel fees.
-
For peak season dates (October through May in Florida), we recommend booking 6–12 months in advance. For off-season or weekday weddings, 3–6 months is usually fine. That said, we've occasionally taken on ceremonies with shorter notice if our calendar allows. The sooner you reach out, the better chance we'll be available.
-
We require a 50% deposit to hold your date, with the remaining 50% due two weeks before the ceremony. If you need to cancel, the deposit is non-refundable (it holds your date exclusively). If you need to reschedule, we'll work with you to find a new date at no extra charge, subject to availability. Full details are in the contract we provide after booking.
